The LABRUM monogram is a modern interpretation of the cowrie shell, a historic symbol of wealth, protection and exchange across West Africa. Abstracted into a refined visual code, it becomes a subtle signature across our garments, connecting heritage with contemporary design. Jacquard technique unlike prints allows to have an exceptional dimension to the fabric technique. The cut yarns reinforce this aspect as they enable transparency/sheerness bellow the pattern.
