About the studio
Founded in 2013 by Kerby Jean-Raymond, Pyer Moss is a New York men's and womenswear label concerned with building a narrative about heritage and activism. Jean-Raymond, who is Haitian-American, now describes it as a wholly independent art project working across art, fashion, film and sound, with collections sold in limited runs on no particular schedule. Business of Fashion records him as the first Black American designer to show on the haute couture calendar.
