Hand-woven by female artisans in the North East region of Bolgatanga, Ghana, each basket helps the women in these communities support themselves and their families through their time honored craft passed from generation to generation. This handmade basket is made from long straws of dried elephant grass, which are then dyed and intricately woven into our custom Brother Vellies pattern. It can be used as a Wine basket to accompany you on your summer picnics or al fresco dinners on the terrace, or can be incorporated as a statement piece in your home. Our Creative Director, Aurora James, loves to use hers as a hanging vase by inserting a classic glass ball jar into the basket to fill with water & fresh flowers!
