About the studio
Founded in 2020 by Rukky Ladoja, who began by making and wearing her samples around Lagos, Dye Lab works with Àdìre, a hand-dyed textile indigenous to the Yoruba people of Nigeria, using batik wax to create its colours and prints. Each piece is hand-designed, hand-dyed and handmade with artisans, and in 2022 Ladoja partnered with long-time collaborator Ozzy Etomi.
