LUAR is the Brooklyn-based label of Raul Lopez, a Brooklyn-born designer of Dominican descent who co-founded Hood By Air before striking out on his own. The LVMH Prize describes the label's philosophy as sitting at the intersection of New York City and the Dominican Republic, and it makes ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories and bags, led by its signature Ana bag.
