About the studio
Toyin Omisore, a Liberian-Nigerian American born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, left a career in social work to launch Roam Loud in spring 2020. The Rhode Island brand makes premium activewear and athleisure for women, created so that brown skin is at the forefront rather than an afterthought. It honours her maternal grandmother, Cynthia Grey Horton, and her pride in Liberia, her country of birth.
