Studio One Eighty Nine.
Look good, feel good, and do good — that's as good as it gets
About the studio
Launched in 2013 by actress Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah. Studio 189 creates pieces that meld traditional West African techniques (hand-batik, indigo dye) with fashion-forward silhouettes — coats, blazers, dresses, and tees produced ethically in Ghana.

Made to order, in the studios' own words
One hundred and eighty-eight pieces in this catalog are made to order. We read what each studio actually promises about the wait, and why the wait is part of the work.

Adire's quiet return
