Nigerian-made everyday design, from Funtua cotton to Kano indigo
About the studio
Founded in Lagos in 2016 by Oroma Cookey-Gam and Osione Itegboje to show that "Made in Nigeria" can carry the weight of "Made in Italy" or "Made in Japan". The label began with Funtua, Nigerian cotton woven in Funtua, Katsina State, and hand-dyed in indigo at Kano's centuries-old Kofar Mata dye pits. Today it makes unisex uniform wear and everyday basics, canvas accessories and homeware, alongside collaborations with Iamisigo and Post-Imperial.
